This 2-day conference, including a clinician workshop, features some of the most highly respected names in the autism community, including:
Keynote speaker: Martha Herbert, MD, PhD is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School
and a Pediatric Neurologist at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Dr. Herbert is a member of the MGH Center for Morphometric Analysis, and an affiliate of the Harvard-MIT-MGH Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging.
She is also the director of the TRANSCEND Research Program.
Dr. Herbert has received a number of important awards, including being named a
Cure Autism Now Research Scholar, a Cure Autism Now Innovator Award and appointed Director of the
Brain Development Initiative for the Cure Autism Now Foundation.
Derrick MacFabe, MD is an Assistant Professor and
Director of the Kilee Patchell-Evans Autism Research Group, Departments of Psychology (Neuroscience) and
Psychiatry (Division of Developmental Disabilities) at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry,
University of Western Ontario, in London, Ontario. His groups published research concerning the possible role of
gut bacterial metabolites in autism has been listed among the top 50 scientific discoveries in Canada
by the National Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC).
Other speaker includes: Richard Frye, MD, PhD, Evodokia Anagnostou, MD, Wendy Edwards, MD, Doreen Granpeeshed, PhD,
Bonnie Kaplan, PhD, Dennis Debbaudt, Heather McCracken, Laurette Janak and Lindsay Moir.
