Get Involved

Autism Canada needs you. It's easier than you think to get involved in helping us! Everyone has interests, skills and a little spare time that can add up to a big difference. And with technology, you can help out no matter where you live in Canada!

Some examples of volunteer assistance include:

• Website design and maintenance
• Registration table for educational conferences
• Manning displays at events
• Stuffing envelopes, producing mailing labels
• Delivering educational materials to local libraries or physicians' offices
• Public speaking if you are a qualified professional (perhaps newly retired?)

The end result will be a big reward in how you look and feel about yourself and in how others look at you! Getting involved as a family also provides a good role model for your children.

There are many socially responsible corporations that are willing and able to give manpower, product or financial donations. This might involve offering postage for mailings, complimentary printing of programs for conferences or hosting a fundraising event such as a Dress-Down Day at your business.
