The Support Navigator’s duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Respond to community requests and general inquiries by phone and email.
  • Support individuals, families, and caregivers through effective listening and communication and provide resources and an understanding of how to navigate the Canadian healthcare system as it relates to autism services.
  • Create and maintain a service provider directory specific to Autism Canada’s Community Assistance Program (CAP).
  • Process and field all applications for Autism Canada’s Community Assistance Program (CAP) and all administrative tasks associated with Family Support and CAP.
  • Develop and implement analysis of funding programs by Province and Territory.
  • Prepare correspondence and other documents as needed.
  • Keep up to date on the political environments, grants, funding, and community / regional resources available across Canada. 
  • Perform research on various platforms for the latest news and publications as it relates to educational support, family support and support in the workplace.
  • Assist in the organization of events and conferences as required.

Autism Canada is seeking a student Fundraising Coordinator as part of the Fund Development Team and the Fee for Service program. The individual will work on creating fundraising campaigns, cause marketing programs and sponsorship.

As part of the Canada Summer Jobs program, Autism Canada is seeking a student Graphic Artist to assist in building and executing the launch of our Resource Library with visual support and social stories. Visual supports help bring in sequence, routine and structure that most individuals on the spectrum, especially children, need to carry on their daily activities.

As part of the Canada Summer Jobs program, Autism Canada is seeking a student to assist with providing supports and resources while assisting families, caregivers, and individuals navigate through online services based on their region and communities across Canada. The student will assist in serving a vulnerable population that encompasses Black, Indigenous, People of Colour, LGBTQIA+ people, all race, all religions, people with mental illness, people with intellectual/physi-cal/ developmental disabilities, historically marginalized population, high and /or low socioeco-nomic status, people without disabilities.

As part of the Canada Summer Jobs program, Autism Canada is seeking a student Office Administrator. This individual will have various responsibilities as they relate directly to fund develop-ment, fundraising and all duties to support the overall office daily operations.
