Promoting the Social Inclusion of Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder Via Mobile Technologies

Summary: 
I have been studying how mobile technologies like iPads can promote social inclusion of students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) by meeting their communication, social, language, and educational needs. In this study, I am focusing on understanding the experiences of children, educators, parents/legal guardians, and other school-based staff members (such as administrators, etc.) when students with ASD are using mobile technologies for social inclusion, and how these experiences support the social inclusion of students with ASD.

Who can participate: 
Elementary school students with ASD, peers of students with ASD who have knowledge about mobile technologies and ASD, parents/legal guardians with students with ASD, educators who are or have worked with students with ASD, and other school-based staff members.

What’s involved: 
Eligible Participants will be asked to participate in a 5-10 minute Online survey and 30-35 minutes Online or phone interview. The total time commitment is 35 to 45 minutes.

Compensation:
Participants will receive $25 Amazon Gift card or $25 cash. Incentives will be sent to the participants via email after their successful participation.
