Research

microscopeAutism Canada feels a multi-disciplinary approach to research is important and necessary. Current research is primarily focused on the genetic puzzle of autism and on behavioural modification. There is a need to promote an integrated approach, drawing in specialists from all biomedical disciplines. Recent research surrounding the biology of autism, brain growth and inflammation, the immune and digestive systems in conjunction with the environment and genetics will provide answers to our questions. There are great opportunities to identify subsets of autism through the identification of biomarkers.

Autism Canada supports research that counts

Autism Canada brings together scientists, researchers and clinicians from across North America and Europe.  Collaboration is key.  We must work together.
